LONI HPC Town Hall Meeting
May 4 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
We would like to invite the LONI HPC community to a town hall meeting to discuss QB2 replacement.
We conducted a survey and asked the participants what they need from the next generation of HPC resources. This town hall meeting will be an opportunity for us to share results from the survey and for you to give feedback about those results. Your input will be integrated into the recommendations that will be made to LONI and Board of Regents leadership. If you have not participated in the survey but would like to, it is still open. It can be found here (via Google Forms):
How to attend:
There will be two sessions, and you can choose to attend either one. Please RSVP and indicate which session and how you plan to attend (in person or remote) by replying to this email.
Session 1: 10am-12pm on 4/30/2018
Session 2: 12pm-2pm on 5/4/2018
To attend in person, the location is:
Digital Media Center 1034
Louisiana State University
Baton Rouge, LA 70808
To attend remotely, please follow the steps below:
- Download and install Viewme client here: https://viewme.ezuce.com/download/;
- Launch Viewme;
- Click on “Test Audio Setup” if you’d like to test your audio;
- Type your name in Nickname field and “LONI-TownHall” in the meeting ID field;
- Click on “Attend”, and the session should start momentarily (the meeting room will be active approx. 30 minutes before the scheduled start time).
We strongly recommend that, if you plan to attend remotely, do not wait until the last minute to install and test the Viewme client . A test meeting room has been set up with the ID “INBRE-TEST-2018” so that participants can self test ahead of the meeting. In order to reduce the amount of echo, the use of headset/headphones is recommended.
If you have any trouble setting up or using the Viewme client, please contact John Quebedeaux at firstname.lastname@example.org.
